Bayer Healthcare has recently agreed to partner with Alibaba Health in order to further promote and distribute its consumer health products and solutions to the Chinese market. China is currently the world’s second largest market, and the move will support the country’s ‘Healthy China 2030’ objectives.

Through the collaboration, Bayer will gain access to essential customer data through utilising Alibaba’s platform and identify key trends and growth areas.

Alibaba has stated that the partnership will enable the company to deliver “personalised online medical consulting” relating to customers’ lifestyle, health and diet, directly through the Alibaba website.”

The news follows on from Alibaba’s recent partnership with GlaxoSmithKline back in August, which has enabled the Chinese market to utilise GSK’s consultation health services.
