The Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences (CSPS) is a non-profit organization established in 1996 to foster excellence in pharmaceutical research.  CSPS membership includes scientists world-wide, who are involved in all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences with affiliations ranging from academia, industry to government. 

The Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is the official, international journal of CSPS.  Established in 1998, it was the first in the field.

The major objective of CSPS is to buildpartnerships and develop a strong voice to encourage government, academia, and industry to advance pharmaceutical R&D innovation in Canada.

Regularly scheduled webinars and several workshops a year help keep pharmaceutical scientists apprised of current issues and scientific advances.  Networking events in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto encourage members to keep in touch.

The 2012 CSPS Annual Symposium is being held in Toronto on June 13, 14, and 15, in conjunction with the Canadian Society of Pharmacology & Therapeutics.  This conference offers informative scientific sessions; exhibitors from industry and suppliers to industry; posters from both academia and industry. Special events are included for students.  It provides a great opportunity to network with peers from all areas in a neutral environment.

Membership

CSPS presents opportunities for collaboration, networking and professional growth with a diverse and eCanadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences xpanding group of pharmaceutical scientists both within Canada and internationally, since CSPS has alliances with other organizations such as AFPC, CVG, and AAPS and the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).

Members receive discounted registration at all CSPS events—workshops, networking events and the CSPS Annual Symposium.  The Symposium is the premier conference for pharmaceutical scientists in Canada, offering current thinking and research in all areas of drug discovery and delivery.

Members have the privilege of attending a variety of webinars free-of-charge, as well as access to the archive of previously-held webinars.

Job opportunities are emailed to members as soon as they are posted on our website.

Members can expand their network and develop new skills by getting involved by volunteering at events and serving on committees.  Often speakers at events are drawn from among CSPS members.
