Healthpoint has become the first hospital in Abu Dhabi to implement the GetWellNetwork, an intuitive patient-care system within its inpatient wards, according to a recent press release. Patients will now receive personalised support and information upon checking in through the network.
Much like a luxury hotel, the TV screen in the rooms will welcome the patient, give them an orientation, and will allow them to communicate with their caregivers and ask for their satisfaction review when they check out.
Integrating with electronic health record and IT applications to extend the value of existing investments and expand the possibilities of care, GetWellNetwork’s platform supports leading health care systems, delivers key insights to clinicians in real time, and transforms care through an evidence-based model for patient engagement.
The platform will also seek to advise patients on how to take better care of their health and provide detailed information about prescribed medications.

The platform features three different experiences targeted at: adults, paediatric and senior-citizen care. Healthpoint plans to make the service available to out-patients in the near future.
